I am a Vancouver-based violinist/fiddler with more than a decade of professional performance experience. I'm classically trained and have a degree in classical violin performance, but love improvisation, whether it's folk-influenced, jazz standards, or cover tunes. I'm as happy on stage at a bar as I am on stage in a stadium or in front of a mic in a studio, and am usually pretty comfortable sitting in with little or no rehearsal (if necessary). It can be pretty fun to do it that way. I also play a bit of cello.

Influences
Too many to count. I love playing along to the songs I grew up with, which ranges anywhere from Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, to Van Morrison, the Beatles, the Pogues, Tom Petty... the list goes on and on.
EQUIPMENT
5-string fiddle with an amazing pick-up (it actually sounds better, not worse, when it's plugged in). It goes straight into the board and only needs phantom. I can also provide my own amplification, if necessary.
