ABOUT

Looking to form a modern, progressive, rock band(not metal), from the ground, up.
Something polished and professional, which excites both the casual, non-musician and studious musician alike. Maintaining an intentional balance of simplicity, and complexity.

So far, this project has been mainly a collaboration between a very talented drummer, and myself. Attempting to craft songs that are both rhythmically complex, and easy to move to.
However, in order to complete the sound we're looking for we require a full band.
With all members we would require a working, to advanced knowledge of music theory. Especially rhythm theory(odd time, poly-rhythm/meter, accenting). Intervals, Modes, etc.

Though it's not *that* important, preferred age range between 20-40. However, skill is the main factor.

Obviously, it's crazy to assume that we'd get everything we want, but we might as well list our ideal, dream-band requests, lol.
So here goes...

A versatile Bassist.
Someone with good technique(finger, thumb, pick, slap), who is willing to experiment with effects.
*Note: Some of the bass parts are already written, but can be discussed, and changed if desired.

An Electronic element
Mainly for creating ambient soundscapes, hyping up choruses, fattening overall sound.etc.
Piano/Organ/Synthesizer/sampling/etc.
Live manipulation of sound via granular synthesis/slicing and effects(mainly on vocals).
*Note: Since there are already acoustic drums, beat making isn't vital(though some sections might call for it).

A skilled Guitarist.
Someone with both rhythm and lead ability.
An aggressive, vigorous style to complement my more laid-back style, would be ideal.
That said, I'm not at all interested in playing metal.
*Note: Some of the second guitar parts have already been written, but can be altered, as long as everything fits right.

A strong vocalist
Someone who is open to utilizing special effects(delay, 'chopping', drive, modulation, etc.).

Samples are rough, incomplete and lacking vox, but it's something at least.
