I live in Maine, U.S.A. just over the border from Woodstock N.B. and I am willing to travel for the right musical situation. I have a NEXUS Card and therefore clear, unfettered access into Canada for jamming purposes and gigging to whatever extent or instance is needed. I travel quite extensively into New Brunswick, Quebec', and the Canadian Maritimes as it is...so there is absolutely nothing inhibiting me from jamming/performing over there.
I also have some potential gigging connections over this way and that is something to keep in mind for Canadian musicians hoping to 'go international' just as I am hoping to do w/ you.
I have close, personal connections at United States Customs in Houlton and can therefore comfortably state that there would be very 'limited' hassles coming into The States from the Canadian side if musicians were to land gigs over here or wanted to come and simply jam.* I have access to a fairly large jam area in a 2 bay garage w/ all available equipment ready and waiting.
*This, of course, does NOT apply to those musicians w/ criminal records or smugglers in general.
I am trained in (this means that I have either studied, done session/studio work, or played in bands that cover these genres of music)Jazz, Improvisational Jazz , Progressive and/or Improvisational Jamming, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Classical, Grunge, Heavy Metal, New Wave, Funk, Disco, Country, R&B, Big Band, Reggae, Blues, Swing, Bluegrass, Cover/Tribute, Alternative/Modern Rock, & Celtic.
I have the ability to step into almost any musical situation and start playing w/ minimal practice and this is the extent of my proficiency on the kit and in areas of percussion. My vocal range/style is that of CCR, Bad Co...etc, and I can sing both back~up and lead vocals...though I do not want to sing lead on any more than a few tunes...back~up, however, is no problem on as many as needed and w/in my vocal range.
I am serious about my musical expression and proud of my abilities as I am also sure that you are...so please keep this in mind when entertaining the idea of contacting me.
I am also available for professional session/studio work as well as drum lessons for beginners to advanced students.
