I've been playing guitar for 13 years, have a solid knowledge of music theory and am a creative writer. I tend to lean away from writing within the mainstream, although am not entirely opposed to playing something along that line. I really just want to play, and have not yet been able to find anyone around town who isn't already committed to a band who can keep up :D I also play bass and drums, however am much more experienced on the guitar. I can add backing vocals where needed as well.
