ABOUT

Toronto is the place where I want to leave my mark. As a songwriter/multiinstrumentalist I have something to offer thats really different from current metal music. With that being said don't write me off yet if you aren't into metal because I don't even put a label on the genres I play. I feel like heavy metal has gotten too predictable and my original sound stands out on it's own. The reason im out here to is to start the next chapter of heavy metal music. Im looking for a vocalist more than anything else, but im looking for good players in general to establish a live act. My songs and lyrics have a lot to say. What im interested in doing is writing and recording good music that will stand the test of time as well as put on great performances. Because thats why people go out to shows in the first place... they wanna see a guy like me put on a great performance they don't want to see a trendy cover band just taking it easy or acting like regular people. Everybody laughed at me at home for wanting to be a rockstar, but they underestimated my creative abilities. Whenever I played live and jaws were dropping I knew I wasn't just an average player. My guitar players would always flake out on me or my vocalist would get scared to perform so im not really the one with the problem. I was hoping bandmix would bring me people who are on the same page experience wise and having the right attitude, but I won't hold my breathe on that either. If I can't find players, il win over some open mic nights first. I spent years writing songs for this upcoming album. I just wont be a solo artist who makes music in front of his computer and gets his stuff lost somewhere in digital wasteland. The blueprint has already been laid out. Now im ready to work. I would advise you to get in touch with me if you want an actual career in music because thats the whole reason I came out to Toronto. But if you don't have the talent or vision, it's never going to happen. I would take somebody with a good attitude over somebody with all the technical ability in the world. Try being a rockstar. You will enjoy it I promise.

Influences

My guitar playing and the riffs that I write are influenced a lot by 90s grunge, traditional metal, but the rhythms have a bluesy sound that kind of make it hard to put a label on. Im not Dimebag and im not Jeff Healy but nobody else really sounds like me either. E standard is great for writing songs with melody kids.

My drumming was majorly influenced by my drum teacher, Megadeth. Both who introduced me to the concept of jazz drumming.. yet I don't even listen to jazz music because im more of a metal guy. So my beats are like a groovy mashup of Nick Menza and Vinnie Paul on cocaine.

Im a good drummer, pretty good riffer, but my basslines don't do anything special to stand out in the mix. My basslines blend in the mix but they don't stand out. So id like to pair up with a bad ass bass player if I can find one.
