I would really like some guys to jam with this winter....I need some experience playing with a band again. I'm willing to travel as far as Brampton, Mississauga, Vaughn, Markham etc etc. Ultimately I would like to start playing live again fairly regularly but need some jam time in to get comfortable...........Would like to play in a classic rock band...maybe even an '80's thing would be cool.

I used to play way back in the day and just recently started playing guitar again and with my kids all grown, I have that itch to play. I'm in my mid-forties and looking for a band to join, start a new band or just people to jam with; I do miss it.

I started playing in bands in the bars in Northern Ontario in my late teens into my early 20's but then marriage and kids took precedent. Although still married, my kids are no longer a factor and I'm now looking to start jamming again...hopefully I can find my chops! I need to shake off 20+ years of rust!! I'll definitely need a coupla' months of Jamming to feel comfortable back in a band situation. Feel and timing can only be fixed with time in!

Examples of my current playing ability...recorded playing along with some youtube backing tracks and recorded directly to my Boss JS-10 eBand (which is awesome!!). The recordings are not of the highest quality but passable. ..you'll get the idea. I wish we had youtube when I was growing up!

Recorded in a single pass, mistakes and all.

(you have to turn the volume on the control panel above down to around mid-volume or else you get a weird oscillation to the sound with Crazy Train and Symphony....not sure why?? but sounds better at half volume and turn your computer speakers up.....I'll eventually rerecord them)

Just to give an idea of my skill level:

1. Ice Cream Man Solo. This is my all time favorite solo from when I was a kid! You have to love EVH!

2. Highway Star Solo....starts just before the solo and I finish the song out.

3. Symphony of Destruction Solo. Starts just before the Solo and I finish the song out.

4. Crazy Train Solo. Had to play some Randy!

5. Rebel Yell Solo.....just because it's a cool tune!

6. Turn me loose solo. I couldn't get my guitar to tune to the track...no matter what I tried??? but put it on here because I liked the way I did it. This recording sounds good at louder volumes so turn the volume loose!

7. Sharp Dressed Man. The last few bars of the song is where the keyboard solo was supposed to go.....I guess I'll just start to jam it out longer now ;)

8. Tie Your Mother Down.

9. Vertigo....A Little U2

.....I struggle with the blues because I never play it and I fake my way through it. Here's my blues attempts at SRV and ACDC.

10. Cold Shot....If I'm gonna tackle a SRV song, this is probably the easiest one I can try...but again, my blues is not great!

11. Ride On. Have to put an ACDC song on here.

12. Tush...to continue some more bluesy stuff

13. Aint Talking About Love

14. Runnin' Down A Dream....come on, it's a cool tune!
