ABOUT

I am a multi-instrumentalist, self-produced singer / songwriter. My focus is largely on original studio work, which I release through CD Baby.

My main near-term interest is writing and recording. I'd like to collaborate with other artists on their recordings, and have them provide tracks for mine. Essentially, participate in a digital co-operative. So whether you are in Ottawa, Iceland, Brazil or England, the wonders of the internet make this possible. Don't hesitate to reach out, wherever you are.

I am also interested in playing out locally, playing a mix of originals, standards and other interesting covers. I would mostly play guitar (lead/rhythm), bass, and vocals (lead/backup).

Influences

My music is infused with diverse musical influences — drawing heavily on progressive and psychedelic rock, but also jazz, fusion, blues, bluegrass and pop. Artists of note would include Beatles, Pink Floyd, Genesis, CSNY, Zeppelin, Bowie. The list easily extends to include Miles Davis, Mahavishnu, Paul Simon, Charles Mingus, Clapton, John Scofield, Al DiMeola, Dylan.

In the end, I like a good song, regardless of genre or artist. In the studio, I can play in most styles and infuse a multitude of instrumentation. Not to mention a generous sprinkling of studio pixie dust.
