ABOUT

Sun Ah is a full scholarship student at the University of Toronto in the private studio of Jonathan Crow. She is a former scholarship student/member of Canada and Korea's most renowned music programs, including the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, Oakville Symphony Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra of Canada, and Seoul Arts Center. This past winter, Sun Ah performed Drake's "Know Yourself" with the students of The Regent Park School of music along with members of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, joined by a special guest, Minister Mélanie Joly. The performance was held at Daniel Spectrum in Regent Park as part of the announcement of $17.5 million in grants and a “national music celebration” created by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra to commemorate Canada's 150th anniversary in 2017. Sun Ah comes from a musical family - her mother, a clarinetist, and her sister, a cellist.
