ABOUT

Sule began to play music at a young age. Piano was the first instrument he chose, but he soon moved on to the guitar, which would remain his main instrument.

An alumnus of Vanier College and Concordia University’s music departments, where he received honors, Sule began his professional career at the age of 20. He fronted his own band called Tribal Groove (1992 to 2001) and sang and played guitar with the Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir, all while attending these schools. His compositions and production can be heard on Tribal Groove’s independently released EP entitled Party at the Sun. During this period, he also had the opportunity to open up for Celine Dion, performing the solo Oh Mary Don’t You Weep with the Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir.

Sule has enjoyed working on many side projects such as playing guitar on Bet-e and Steph’s self titled album and performing with the Jazz group Atomic Cocktail. He also got the chance to travel on the road with Tribal Groove playing venues in New York and Las Vegas. However, after nine years with the band, Sule left to pursue his own career and tour as the guitarist for the renowned Canadian groups Sky, One Ton and Corneille. He has since decided to concentrate on a solo career.

A singer and songwriter, Sule produces and writes music for other artists, lending his talents to other musicians. Being included on Café Mélies' compilation CD Vol. 1 and winner of the Black Theatre Workshop’s “Gloria Mitchel-Aleong" award are some of his more recent achievements. He is currently writing, producing and illistrating the concept album "Modern Times", and building his company Baby Groove Prod.
