ABOUT

Update---- As of August 2015 ---- Hi folks! I need a female singer for my cover band. Gigs are being booked for the summer and we would like to find someone committed to gigging 2 or 3 times (maybe more) a month. The band is called Sonic Tonic and we cover disco, rock, pop and country. You can look for us on Facebook and contact me there if you are interested. I would need to see videos and you need to have a vehicle as we play from Oakville to Port Hope and GTA and Durham regions. We are playing "A" rooms in the GTA such as the Bier Markt's etc.

Steve is a Canadian guitarist and has been playing guitar for almost 30 years. His biggest influences were Eddie Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, George Lynch, Paul Gilbert and Steve Vai. Steve has been in or been a part of over 30+ bands over his career, a list that is still growing.

Steve has worked with some of the biggest names in rock music, mostly as a touring lead guitarist. Killer Dwarfs, Revolver (now called Famous Underground), Random Robbery, Jimi Jamison (Survivor), Mike Reno (Loverboy) and Alan Frew (Glass Tiger) are just a few of the artists Steve has gigged with over the years. Steve was also a member of the Rachel Bolan (Skid Row) produced, New Jersey based, sleeze rock group, The Flu, in 1990.

In 1995, Steve co-founded, co-produced, fronted and was co-lead guitarist for his own band, Fear Disorder. Fear Disorder was discovered by Zack Werner (Canadian Idol judge, President of Toronto-based Venus Management and Venus Records distributed by EMI). Zack was then working as an entertainment lawyer and felt Fear Disorder would be best suited to the U.K. and European markets. Fear Disorder didn't do too badly at home either, charting #10 upon their debut, In A Rage, when it was release to Canadian University and College radio. Shows with Voivod and FIGHT (Rob Halford of Judas Priest) would follow, as would a deal with Revolver Records in England.

Fear Disorder's first disc, In A Rage, was released to 27 countries in the U.K. and Europe, but the group would disband shortly before the discâ??s official release.

Steve is now a full-time guitar and band instructor for Arcadia Academy of Music in Woodbridge, Ontario

His current cover bands are Sonic Tonic (Top 40/Classic Rock/Disco/Country) and Head Trip.
