My wife and I have a duo called Steam Heat that plays regularly in the Duncan to Qualicum area. We do mostly tunes from the late 50's to early 70's. I play a variety of stringed instruments, my wife plays bass and we both sing. We carry a repertoire of over 200 songs covering several genres.
What we'd really like to do is form a 5 piece group to do late 50's rock-a-billy and rock and roll. We'd need strong vocal harmonies, a drummer who can swing, a sax player and maybe a keyboardist.
Forget the money, it's not there but I'm pretty sure there's a market for this stuff so playing out shouldn't be a problem.
Plan B is that I'm retired and I love to play. If you need a multi instrumentalist to sit in on just about any project I'm interested.
