I started with an electric guitar and was inspired by the local open mic to get an acoustic and learn to do vocals while playing. That's now my most comfortable performing style, though I can dig some backup vox or harmonies just as well. I've played gigs in a few various bands / groups, duos and solo over the years but I've been out of the scene for a bit and would love to get back into it. Once I started song-writing in layers, I became very familiar with "powertab" and "tuxguitar" (both are much like guitarpro) in order to keep track of things.I eventually started writing bass parts and once i was really getting comfortable with bass, I picked one up and got pretty into it! Eventually I started writing much more complex pieces including percussion and whatever seemed interesting, essentially venturing a bit into electronic music but with low quality midi programs that allow me to write sheet music through tablature.
I'm open to playing gigs and some collaborating. my style essentially revolves around rhythm, patterns, chords and root notes while I tend to lean towards genres that interest me. Anything with a rock edge, a bit of blues / jazz / funk. those chords just have so much more feeling! I write stuff that sounds like straight up videogame music as well, so I'm down to write just about anything! I'm particularly good at elaborating with layers of instruments.I love writing music in layers more than anything, but I'm pretty stoked to pick up a guitar or bass and grab a mic!
Here's an acoustic solo tune i wrote a bit back. its unfortunately phone quality.

I don't particularly like my vocal performance on this one haha. it stays in the higher range a bit much!

EQUIPMENT
Various guitars (nothing too fancy) and a pair of cheap basses. they get the job done and sound a bit nicer through my Boss ME-70 Multi-effect pedal. I own a 10 channel mixer, two 12-inch speakers and 2 mics with all appropriate stands. My PA setup is mostly Peavey. yeah yeah. it gets the job done! haha it's actually pretty decent for vocals and guitars (especially acoustics) and its very light-weight which is awesome for taking to gigs!
