ABOUT

Listen closely to Sergio Manzo's guitar playing and you will hear a musician at the summit of his craft.

A combination of virtuoso technique, stylistic sensitivity, superior improvisational skills, flawless sight reading abilities and top quality gear deliver an incredible musical experience.

A graduate of Vanier College in Montreal, Sergio majored in both Jazz and Classical guitar. He went on to study Jazz performance at the University of Montreal where he graduated with high praise.

His professional career led him around the world by way of major cruise lines. He played in the orchestra accompanying Vegas-style shows, he led his own Jazz trio playing unique arrangements and original compositions, he held a solo guitar chair where he performed classical and flamenco pieces and he held a soloist position where he sang a wide range of pop songs while accompanying himself on acoustic guitar.

Curious by nature, Sergio embraced all the cultural flavours of the countries he visited. These included musical traditions which he sought to understand and learn. A passion for excellence led Sergio to master many styles including Flamenco, Bossa Nova, Samba, Classical, Pop, Jazz, Funk, Blues, Rock, Bluegrass and Country. A constant innovator, he continues to push boundaries and blend these genres together creating a style that is his own.

Whether playing a lively Samba, a fiery Flamenco showpiece or an expressive Pop ballad, there is always brightness to his guitar playing. Sergio's incomparable intensity makes him a real joy to listen to and he has an equally compelling stage presence.
