Scott Withers & the Whisper Banshees are an emerging Halifax alt-roots band. We are members of Music Nova Scotia and SOCAN playing all-originals with the occasional folksy spin on, say, an '80s tune. Influences

We mostly play songs I first wrote for an indie rock band (but never recorded), but in this outfit of talented acoustic musicians, we've put an old-time/bluegrass spin on them. Our influences are largely indie rock/pop bands, but our sound is much more roots/folk than that so influences would be misleading. We end up sounding a bit like David Myles, I guess.
