Vernon was given his talent on the saxophone when the Lord called him to "put an instrument in his mouth" instead of weapons of destruction. His calling was miraculous. With his determination and obedience to the Lord's will, Vernon has become a man of great expectation!

Notably, Vernon began playing in churches on a grand scale after perfecting his skill on the horn. Incredibly, Vernon plays by ear with every note heart felt and Spiritually moved. He chose to call himself "ANOINTED SOUNDS." A name fitting his purpose! Every song played has been memorized and extensively practiced and perfected. His skill of improvising is astronomical. Skilled musicians have difficulty understanding how Vernon is at an extremely professional level as a soloist without any formal training. Only God knows how this was achieved!

Vernon has performed with groups of musicians however, he prefers to perform with accompaniment/background tracks (his invisible band). There are a large number of people who have commented that his performances would be appreciated on a cruise ship while sailing across the ocean. The romantic sounds of the saxophone and the way he interprets the music touches the hearts of many people. Couples can be seen embracing each other while being personally serenaded.

Vernon strongly believes that being up close and personal draws people into the music but it is the smiles on their faces and the smiles in their hears that motivates him. The ability to express himself through the music to the audience is an outstanding accomplishment. The large number of people who can be performed to from different cultures all over the world would be his greatest audience!

To see his performances and feel his energy is astronomical! Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock. You name it or sing it and he will play it. Not only does he play, he is an entertainer in all sense of the word! He dances and makes commentary about his songs displaying an extensive knowledge of music. His charismatic approach and level of public speaking presents him as an eloquent and poised professional.

Vernon James "The Saxman" can be heard throughout the streets in Niagara Falls New York and Niagara Falls Canada. He has performed for the legendary Meadowlark Lemon, at the Lewiston Jazz Festival; at the Buffalo Broadway Market; Freedom Trail Festival, at numerous churches; Crazy Praised Live Talent Search; America's Got Talent Season Seven; New York State Fair Syracuse, Apollo Theatre NYC, at weddings and at special events for members of City Council. He has entertained large crowds of people on the patio of the Hard Rock Cafe Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada. As his career as a solo saxophonist and entertainer is on the rise, he continuously thanks the Lord for all the He has done, and is doing in his life.
