I'm a guitar player in my 40s who recorded and toured in a hardcore punk band in my 20s, recorded and gigged locally in a roots rock band in my 30s, and now I write and record music at home. I'm looking to form a band to write and record songs with. I'm open to gigging, but my priority in the short term is just creating some great songs and getting them recorded.
The stuff I write is heavily influenced by the punk and metal that I grew up listening to, but I'm open to a variety of musical styles. What I write could probably best be described as alternative rock, but I don't want to try to create songs in any particular style. I just want to get together with other creative musicians and see what we end up creating. I'm leaning toward the idea of having a female vocalist, but I'll also consider a male vocalist if it's the right fit.

My guitar playing and songwriting influences range from metal (Ozzy Osbourne, Van Halen, Iron Maiden) to alternative rock (Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers) to punk (Descendents/ALL, Jawbreaker, SNFU, Propagandhi).
