I'm a 67 year-old musician with professional experience in jazz, rock, blues, r&b, folk, country, latin, etc. For 6 years prior to moving to VI 10 years ago I directed a jazz/fusion group that gigged and recorded in Boston. I've composed a lot of material in the vein of John Scofield, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Freddie Hubbard, and so on - what some people would call jazz fusion, or jazz funk, or post-Miles jazz. I have charts for this and other similar material, but my music is largely improvisational. I also write a lot of songs and perform as a singer/guitarist/songwriter at local events.
I would love to get together with other capable musicians that want to have fun, share music, and aren't afraid to try new things and experiment with sounds.
