Riddle me this:

What has eight thumbs and just signed on to play at this year's #BradfordRibfest?

These guys! (We couldn't find a picture of us with our thumbs up so this was the next best thing...who are we kidding...I was just looking for an excuse to repost this picture)

We will be one of four bands vying for the title of best band at this year's Bradford Ribfest. It's a great event, and this year they've moved the date to July to make sure we get warmer weather.

If you're planning on attending, we'd love to see you come out and support us on Saturday afternoon (July 4th). More details to come.

We're going back to Aurora for another night of rock and/or roll! Come join us, there will be food, drinks, music and dancing!

If you haven't been to a show yet...first of all...what's wrong with you? Secondly, here is some video and pictures of our last show at Sgt. Pepper's (below).

This one is a special occasion. It's Pain's singer Al's 40th birthday...but on this night he's going to party like it's 1999...or...in other words...like he's still 25 years old.

So please come out and help Al celebrate this special event. Bring as many people as you want, it's a big place and open to the public.

On this night, we're going to share the stage with Stu's other band, Those Handsome Hooligans so you're going to have twice as much fun!

The 2015 bookings have already begun, which bodes well for us next year! There is nothing better than a live band in your backyard, rocking the night away with you and all of your friends. We're looking forward to it!

Will post pictures of the birthday girl says it's ok.

Great news! If this horrible weather has you feeling a bit down, we've got the perfect remedy. How about a surprise, last minute rocking party guaranteed to make you feel warm and fuzzy all over?

Sgt Peppers Stouffville had a last-minute cancellation for tomorrow night, and has asked us to fill-in. So, if you're feeling cold and crabby (or even if you're feeling warm and happy), come on out tomorrow night for some good food, drink and great music!

We'll help each other through this miserable weather.

If you're like me, you're so done with this winter...apparently we're supposed to be getting an early spring—I'll believe it when I see it.

In the meantime, we can't make spring arrive any faster, but we can heat things up with a night of eating, drinking and dancing in the warm, comfy confines of CW Coop's.

So, call the sitter, make arrangements for a DD/cab/rickshaw/bus/dogsled and come join us as we thumb our collective noses at old man winter with some good old fashion partying.

If you'd like to see what you're in for, check out the video below of our last show at CW Coop's back in December. It was a full house and a great time!

It has been awhile since we've played at Sgt. Pepper's in Aurora...we were starting to take it personally. Thankfully, our insecurity was unfounded. They like us! They really like us!

We'd like you to join us for an evening of rocking fun at Aurora's best Beatles-inspired Pub & Grill! The food is great, the drinks are plentiful and we hear the band doesn't suck.

We hope to see you all there!

Have we got a holiday treat for you!

After a few days of frantic festive family "fun", we all need some time away from the kids, parents, in-laws, aunts and/or uncles to decompress and have some adult "We" time.

You might be asking yourself, "But...isn't that what New Years Eve is for?"

It may very well be. However, perhaps you can't wait a whole week for the sort of decompression one may need after a busy holiday season. Perhaps you need to get your drink and party on sooner than that. Well, if that sounds like you, we've got you covered!

Come join us, just a couple of days after Christmas for a night of post-yuletide food, drinks and dancing at the newest and hottest place in Newmarket Fionn MacCools Newmarket - Prime Pubs, If you haven't been there yet, you're missing out!

As usual, we'll bring the rock, Fionn's will supply the food, drink and venue and you will bring the party!

We'd love to see you all there!

After a brief hiatus, the Pains are back and ready to rock the Coop! Please join us on Friday, November 28th @ CW Coops in Holland Landing for a night of fun, food, drink and great live music!

This is where it all started and we're happy to be back!

Some things just belong together...peanut butter and chocolate, Simon and Garfunkel, The Royal Pains and The Pattie House.

After a great August long weekend show—which you can read more about here. We've been asked back to rock out the end of the summer on the Labour Day long weekend!

Normally, I'd say we can't wait, but since it marks the end of the summer, I'm fine waiting for this one to just come organically...but once it does LOOK OUT! It's going to be a BIG one!

As the weather finally starts to warm up outside there are a few sure signs of spring. Budding flowers, chirping birds, dog poop everywhere...but the one we're most excited about is the beginning of summer show bookings. We're pleased to announce that our first summer booking is at our favourite place, The Pattie House!

It's always a fun night when we play in Coboconk and when you combine that with a long weekend, things may get a little bananas up there!

So if you find yourself in the Kawarthas for the August long weekend and you want to party hard on the Saturday night with a bunch of rowdy cottagers and all-around-ne'er-d-wells the Pattie House is the place to be...GUARANTEED!

We've been promising this one for awhile...it's finally going to happen...AND it's happening soon!

Friday May 9th, The Royal Pains return to Bradford for a night of rocking and/or rolling at Don Cherry's!

It's a new venue for us so we need to impress! We'll need your help for that.

The venue will supply the great food and drink. We'll supply the great tunes—including some exciting new songs.

All we need is for YOU to supply the yourselves and come ready to party!

We don't have much to say about this one except that apparently we do weddings now! Who would have thunk it!

We'll let you know how it went. If the couple allows it, we will post some pictures.

CITY GIG ALERT!!!

If you haven't made plans for Valentine's Day yet, you're in luck! Why don't you join us for a night of food, drinks, music and...of course...romance!

South Shore Bar & Grill will provide the food & drinks, we'll provide the music and we'll leave the romance up to you, but we'll try to set the mood with some rockin' sexy music.

Are you single? EVEN BETTER! Come on out and dance the night away!

Attention Bradford friends! We are thrilled to announce our first how of 2014 and it's a special one! It's our first in singer Al Grego's hometown and it's a first for Eclipse as they try out having live bands.

So, people of Bradford, we call upon you to come out and show the owner of Eclipse that yes, live bands can bring the party!

Besides...what else you got going on a Saturday in mid-January? Come for the Leafs game, food and drinks, and stay for the singing and dancing into the wee hours of the morning.

If you're not from Bradford and still want to come, you're more than welcome. The more the merrier! Al assures us that it's a nice place to visit.

Are you the type of person who puts off the Christmas shopping to the very last minute? We can help with that.

On Friday, December 6th, instead of going to the mall to spend your hard-earned money on presents, come rock with us instead!

We're making our return to Holland Landing, but this time we're gonna rock the Wild Wing!

It's an early start time for this one, so why don't you make a night of it. Come for dinner and stay for the rock spectacle! We'll make it worth your while.

The Pains are back in Aurora in November!

It will take at least that long for the town to recover from the rocking it received our last time out.

The owners of Sgt. Pepper's are a glutton for punishment and by punishment, I mean good music and good times.

Come on out! We'll make it worth the drive!

Attention all Barrie residents! The Royal Pains are coming to a bar near you! That's right, on Friday, November 15 we will be heading north to The Port of Barrie to rock the night away by Kempenfelt bay. We hear Barrie can party, so we're really looking forward to it!

Yet another callback, and it's to our favourite place to play, the Pattie House in Coboconk!

Our last time time up there was the most fun we've had to date. How can it possibly get better? How about throwing in a bunch of rowdy party people in costume?

That's right! It's a Halloween party! It's going to be another rocking night! We can't wait!

You always remember your first.

It's a return to the scene of the crime (first gig), and it's our first callback.

CW Coops left a lasting impression on us. Visions of women dancing on bars invade our collective dreams.

Thomas Wolfe wrote "You Can't Go Home Again" but perhaps you can return to the Coop.

Costco already has Halloween and some Christmas stuff on shelves. WTF! You think summer is almost over? Not so fast! Don't let the big boxes tell you what season it is!

The summer of Pains refuses to end! It's already been an amazingly busy one and we're about to make it busier. We've added yet another show and it's coming quickly!

So mark Saturday, August 24th on your calendars. We'll be playing at the Sgt. Pepper's in Stouffville. Familiar name, different town. The music will be pumping, the patio hopping, and the drinks flowing...sounds like summer to me.

To all of you cats asking for a downtown show, you got it!

The Summer of Pains continues with a mid-August stop in Bloordale. The venue is Duffy's Tavern, which, according to their website is "Toronto's best live music venue/neighbourhood pub since 1949!"

Come for the music and stay for the food and drinks. According to Pains devotee Tash, "They have a badass menu, come hungry!"

If you find yourself in the greater Coboconk area on August 10th, come join us at The Pattie House, the biggest patio in the Kawarthas, for a night of royal fun and frivolity. It's going to be a great party!

It's going to be a rocking summer night in Cookstown on Saturday, July 13th, as the Royal Pains invade The Iron Horse for an evening of royal rocking fun. Come hang out, the food is great, the patio rocks and so will we.

Come rock the night away with the Royal Pains Saturday July 6th at Sgt. Pepper's in Aurora.

For those of you who can't wait until July...come for an intimate sneak peek of the Pains in action on Friday, June 21st.

Warning, it's a small place so you'll want to get there early as it will fill up fast.
