Michael Spicer is a 2010 graduate of the BA in Music (Jazz) program from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Michael has played in groups all over Nova Scotia, including Mike Dalton's Transatlantic Zodiac Ensemble, the Spicer-Robertson quartet with guitarist and composer Jamie Robertson, and performed with a variety of university-based groups including the Acadia University Jazz Ensemble and St. Francis Xavier University's Latin Ensemble. Since October 2010 he has been employed by Carnival Cruise lines as a broadway-style show band musician, playing bari, tenor, and alto saxes as well as flute and clarinet. Over the course of his university and professional career he has performed in a huge range of styles including Classical, Jazz, Latin, Funk, Soul, R&B, Rock, and Reggae.
