Matt Gillis started his musical journey as the drummer of The Lovely Gentlemen feeling the need to nurture his song writting craft he switched to guitar and vocals and started The Line ( that seperates truth from lies ) , finding solace in his craft hes joined super group Ocean Side View , after going to college with his best friend and co guitarist Keith he recorded a album and started his own lable Earthtone Reecords . Time passed and he felt the urge to fleet to B.C where he moved his tastes to a more experiemental aproach of folk with his solo project Gypsy Moth . upon his return he joined 3 bands on bass , Anderson ( guitarist of Youthinasia ) Retreat ( members of Saturday night heros )and Vendettas ( Logan Staats of Goodbye Goldia ) in which he played banjo with logan as well . In the summer of 2010 he started his own band in which he was main songwritter lead guitar and vocals The Whispering Soul ( Tim Camilari ) which he is finishing up his album on Earthtones as well as preparing to record his debut Gypsy Moth album ( www.myspace.com/matthewrichardgillis ). Now im sure you know none of those bands but its been along road so far and he is not ready to quit his passion so he moved to brampton the city of his birth and visits Toronto everyweekend to play gigs and watch bands .
