I’ve been playing drums on and off since I was in the sixth grade and all throughout high school. It was in high school that I knew I had a passion for playing music. I also knew that if I wasn’t going to make it as a musician I wanted to end up in the audio/recording end of the business – what I can say neither happened!
I’ve always been part of a band, some lasting longer than others, but music has carried me through life’s courses and adventures. That being said there was a period where I didn’t play for a few years. It was during that period that I re-discovered my passion, when I really started missing playing. It was then that I learned how much music is a part of my life.
That realization hit me 10 years ago and with a more mature mindset I haven’t put my sticks down since. I started playing with a group of guys who were into originals. I knew from my years past that my passion lies in creating original music. With that I’ve developed and mastered my sixth sense in identifying, understanding, and dissecting that unspoken language on stage or in creating music. I would be classed more of a heavier drummer but I love dynamics and different time signatures. I have a real natural feel for music and that is reflected in my style as well as my ability to adapt to all kinds of music that are created and played with true passion.
