ABOUT
Hailing from the desolate flatlands of Regina SK, Lest We Fail has been making a name for themselves across the prairies for the last few years. Conceived by Mitch Reimer and Lee Mcrury in 2007, after experimenting with different combinations of members and sounds the group was finalized in early 2009. April of 09 marked the bands first live performance at The Exchange in Regina, and since then the group has had the honor of sharing the stage with such acts as Protest The Hero, Savannah, Hibria (Brazil), and Chosen (Ireland). Playing over 20 shows in SK alone in their first year has helped the band develop a strong local following across the province.
The music is heavy, with roots in Hardcore, Thrash, and Death Metal. The group has developed a very melodic and tight sounding approach to song writing, with long instrumentals and heart stopping breakdowns. “We just want to make music that makes people want to hit people!” proclaims drummer Jay Lee. And the response to their live performance often points to this very statement.
In early 2010 the group got together with well known Misery Signals vocalist Karl Schubach in hopes of recording an album. With the Production and Engineering skills of Karl, the group recorded their first studio quality EP entitled “Standing Tall” which was released on June 5th of 2010. “Working with you (Lest We Fail) was an absolute pleasure! The musicianship brought in by each band member made my job that much easier…. I would gladly work with you guys again!” said Karl after completing the project. Shorty after the release of Standing Tall, the group hit the road to spread their own brand of brutality across Canada. With a series of “Weekend Warrior” tours planned for summer 2010, the band hopes to gain the support of metal fans in major centers across Canada before embarking on a full out cross Canada tour as soon as resources permit. Keep on the lookout for these guys, as they will be in a city near you VERY soon! “This has been my dream since the first day I picked up a guitar” said Mitch as the band hit the road for their first series of shows, and the dedication of this group shows with every note they play. The sound is crushing, the music is tight… and the energy of their live show is unparalleled… Look out for Lest We Fail… they are coming to bury you deep!
