Hello,
my name is Lana and I'm a female vocalist. I've been training for ten years and have absolutely been itching to start a band (thus, I am looking for a guitar player, drummer and bassist or even a keyboardist). I've been in numerous competitions including the manitoba music festival and stars of tomorrow with dozens of other performances on the side. I'm looking to start a band: something with the feel of like metric, the arctic monkeys, portishead, the cardigans, death from above, we are scientists ... well you get the idea; something darker and more like power-indie (lol I say that because I really don't know what to call it) but still fun. I really don't know what kind of sound I'm looking for but I'm always open to new genres and suggestions; I, however, don't do jazz, folk, or pop (I've been down those roads). If you're interested in jamming together sometime, please drop me a line. I'm looking for a band that wants to write and perform it's own material.
