SEEKING
Band to Join, Drums.ABOUT
I have been playing drums off and on for 39 years, and have played in a variety of different bands. I was the Singer/Bassist in a Police tribute band the past 10 years all because of my voice..apparently n uncanny resemblance to Sting. My first instrument was violin at age eight, I then quickly graduated to drums (my favourite) and then many other instruments fell in after that. I have been huge fan of Stewart Copeland of The Police, and studied his back ground and influences for many years. I truly understand his style and 'where he is coming from', he 'attacks the drum kit with a visual energy and conviction I find captivating and compelling.
I love and understand reggae, world, far eastern, and south American rhythms. I grew up in many far away places as my parents loved to travel world wide during much of my childhood and teen years.
I have a love for punk, metal, reggae and rock, with a touch of jazz in there as well. I was educated musically in the classical world..hence the violin..unfortunately my violin skills are all but lost as I haven't touched the instrument in many years.
I have always found drums the easiest to play of all the instruments I have experienced, that I believe gives me an ability to 'fit in' easily in any situation.
