I am a guitar player aged 21 looking to jam and get a band going soon. I've been working to develop a strong lead guitar style, largely improvised, with some influences like Hendrix and Frusciante for example. I am very laid back but also extremely committed to music.
I'm looking for anybody, M or F, who just wants to get out and make some great music, regardless of current skill level. I'm not the kind of person to show up late for a jam or back out for no reason; I've also got a lot of free time right now.
I'm hesitant to list many specific bands since I'm not really going for any particular sound or style yet, but something loud with good rhythm and strong leads, a sort of heavy rock with maybe a bit of a heavy blues feel as well. I'm very open to trying new styles and plan to experiment a lot overtime, right now I'd just like to feel it out and see what happens.
Pro gear is not required, nor is extensive musical knowledge, some basic understanding of music would just make some things a little bit easier. I would like to keep any jams inside Kingston to avoid depending on others for transportation, but either way we can figure something out.
