SEEKING
Vocalist, Bass Guitar.ABOUT
I am a 23 year old guitar player, with a passion for rock music and it's close relatives. I've been playing guitar for about 4 years and a little bass experience. Really interested in making my own sound and lyrics lately so I'm seeking others who are into creating something fresh and invigorating.
There's a good amount of band experience under my belt. I started playing with the Wentworth Band Factory doing ...covers. But that included playing quite a few live sets and gave me some basic gigging know-how.
There, I met a drummer who let me into his progressive melodic metal band but that kind of crashed and burned fairly quickly due to the founding member "getting back to his roots". Since that, I co-founded a weird little punk band called The Terrible Analogies. That was fun but I had issues with paying too much 90's-esque punk stuff. So we lost our bassist and carried on as a more alternative outfit that as doomed when our vocalist left. So, logically, I moved on and started a Doom band. Our first rehearsal was shut down by by-law officer Dennis Zahara. So we named the bad after him; Zahara. Really cool but only 2/4 of us were any good at our instruments so it had a lifespan when I got more ambitious. And lastly, there was Fax Machine. Sweet Bluesy lo-fi Rock n' Roll with only 2 guys. Don't say it. We were not a Black Keys wannabe band. Well my drummer went to school full time so that's where that ends... regrettably..
Anyway, I'm itching to get back in the scene and start making some beautiful fu*king Rock n' Roll as soon as possible!

The Arms of Zahara
The Arms of Zahara Year: 2012 Genre: Metal
A shitty iphone recording of my previous bands theme song of sorts. Live off the floor in Big J's 1 bedroom suit to the woe and dismay of all the neighbors. These were good times with mediocre music. That's me on lead guitar and vocals. Mostly improvised lyrics at this point. Never got around to a final recording with full lyrics but this is all I got right now.
