ABOUT

I've been playing for well over 20 years now. Had my serious gigging and travelling phase, now content to just play locally with people.

I'm mainly an electric rhythm player, but I like acoustic stuff too, as well as electronic music. I'm a solid rhythm guy, with some lead ability, but it's definitely not my strong suit.

I'm a little conflicted, as I'm a metal guy that doesn't have to play purely metal music. I still love it, but I also really love atmospheric and moody music. I just enjoy playing, whatever form that takes.

Influences

Everything! It's a cliche, but I think I'm one of those people who can take inspiration from pretty much anything.

Having said that, I'm not really a fan of country music, although there are some talented people doing it; and I really don't like modern rap and hip-hop.

For specifics though; Anthrax got me playing guitar, Metallica got me serious about it, Nuno made me realize I should focus on rhythm playing. I love bands like Rammstein, In Flames, and Combichrist, but also love artists like Placebo and Depeche Mode.
