We’re an old-school raw style Black Metal band – guitarist, bassist & drummer – currently seeking an additional vocalist/guitarist.
Potential candidates must be between 22-32 years of age, have your own equipment readily available – guitars, amps, fx pedals, vocal mic, etc. – have your own vehicle or easy access to public transportation within the Ottawa/Hull area, and have intermediate or higher musical abilities. NO BEGINNER PLAYERS.
Try-outs must have a good thorough knowledge and understanding of the specifics of Black Metal as a metal music subgenre. NO BLACK METAL NEWCOMERS. This means NO 'NOOBS.'
Additionally, potential auditionees must be comfortable and willing to wear the costume attire we adorn for stage and promotion (i.e. black clothing, capes and/or robes, bullet belts, combat boots, leather accessories with spikes, nails and studs, “corpsepaint” face paint, etc.). You must also not be easily offended by controversial subject matter.
We are a very serious Black Metal band that wishes to eventually tour and record. We already have a wealth of song/lyrical material finished and more in the making. As well as a 3/4's finished demo we wish to complete and release to the public.
You must be willing to meet up every week, 3 hours per session to rehearse at our designated space and also be dependable and reliable to pay a split, even share of rent for the space which we currently use.
Live or studio experience is an asset. A rhythm player is acceptable, but a lead player would be ideal.
YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PLAY GUITAR AND DO VOCALS AT THE SAME TIME.
