ABOUT

Hi there. Our band is just starting out and we are currently in the process of forming and accumulating band members. We strive to take our band moderately seriously and ask that anyone considering to join be willing to have their own equipment and at least be able to make it out to three practices a month, and have reliable transportation and/or a way to and from the municipality of Brampton.

We are looking to do originals and covers, and as you may or may not have guessed by now, we are looking to do indie rock/electronic, although the specifics of the music are not yet too inflexible. A good rule of thumb is a unique sound.

You must also be willing to contribute funds with the rest of the band when and if necessary and last but not least, I expect to see proof of who you are before any sort of physical "get-together" is made feasible. Mainly looking for a drummer and a guitarist/keyboardist at this time. Although, it is true that the more knowledge of music and more equipment you possess, the better your chances of being accepted.

Please contact me via e-mail: monkeymaaaadness@H(o)t-ma----il.(c)o(m),, if interested.

EQUIPMENT

I myself own a Mexican Fender jazz bass, a MicroKORG XL synthesizer, a cheap little glockenspiel set, an old 15 watt Dean Markley guitar amp which seems to be compatible with my bass, and a recently acquired vintage 110 watt Polytone bass amp, of the Mini-Brute series. Another addition to my own personal lineup is my 13-inch Macbook Pro, for MIDI compositions, backing tracks, etc. I may also have plans to upgrade in the foreseeable future.

Aside from that, Gloria owns a rented Yamaha alto sax, a clarinet, has an electronic piano of her own at home.. Technics, I believe? A Crafter guitar, highly personalized (with character!), and an electric violin by Yamaha, and a recntly acquired acoustic violin. She's also got a 30 watt Fender amp.

Not much in the way of microphones.. Robyn's got a basic Sony Dynamic FV-120, but it's horrible.. it really is difficult to find an actual *good* entry-level mic these days..
