Looking for female vocalist. Being able to play another instrument is a plus but not required for the right voice. Please note, this is not already a formed band and I'll be gathering musicians to fill the group once there's another voice to build around. Music will be rock/metal/pop oriented covers with an edge to start and see where things go from there.
I'm looking to do something a little different with some flavor rather than what most of the other bands in Winnipeg are doing. I'm more looking for something on the semi-casual side (wouldn't want to gig really more than once/month) but with a non-casual attitude (showing up to rehersals knowing your stuff, being on time/available, etc).

Influences
I listen to and grew up on mostly music from the 70's and 80's in the classic rock/glam/metal/pop type genres. Everything from 38 Special, Boston, Blue Oyster Cult, Journey, Styx, to Vai, Satriani, Mr. Big, Warrant, Skid Row, etc to name a few. I'd like to think I have a fairly open mind when it comes to what I'll play, but let's just say if it's been done by countless bar bands that's the stuff I tend to shy away from.
