Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Piano, Background Singer.ABOUT
Hey y'all.
I've been playing in bands for 15+ years, predominantly as a drummer. This includes several North American touring and session work.
In my spare time, I've also been writing and perform music as a singer/guitarist, and I'm looking to move forward in that direction.
Currently I'm getting set to release a full length album under my own name, with songs ranging between Rock, Blues, Funk, and even some Pop.
Now that the album is nearing completion, I'm looking to put together a band to perform the original music in a live capacity, with the hope of soon getting back on tour. I know how unfavourable that be seem to ask for, so I greatly appreciate anyone's interest in joining me in this. Though the songs are all written and recorded, I'm always open to and value creative input. I'm not going to change your style, adapting is half the fun! if you can sing, BONUS POINTS!
What I'm looking for:
1. Keyboards: A lot of my songs have the keyboards in the forefront, and as such I'm in desperate need of a capable keyboardist. Preferably someone who can read music, as I've got the majority of my songs fully scored out and ready to play.
2. Drums: Given that I've been playing drums for nearly 20 years, I tend to be a bit picky with drummers. I do promise not to be a dick towards you, though. We can talk things through... hush now, sweet prince!
So for the drums, there's nothing overtly complicated in these songs, and I speak "drummer", so we can easily work out any issues. In all likelihood I'm hoping to perform to a click track (at least for a couple tunes), as there may be some samples/loops here and there.
Bass Guitar: Let's get funky. Most of my music is groove oriented, so if you can lay it down and sync up with the drummer, you're golden. It's not necessary, but definitely cool with me if you wanna experiment with effects and whatnot.
Guitar(s): I will be singing and playing guitar, but I need a mate to share rhythm/lead duties with me. I'm no virtuoso, but I can hold my own. It'd be cool if I didn't even have to do anything but sing for some songs, so hopefully you'd be willing to carry the song on the guitar end here and there. Most of my songs are tabbed out (at least the rhythm portions), and the lead parts are currently being recorded. I'm a bit of a gear-head, so we can have fun talking about pedals for hours as well.
That's pretty much it. If You're itching to play in a band with original tunes, please feel free to chat me up! We may just end up jamming, or we might become thick as thieves and get each others faces tattooed on our butts. Hopefully, if this all works out, the next album I put out will be with my band and not just a solo endeavour. Either way, I look forward to hearing from anyone and everyone!
