Born in Niagara Falls Ontario, Deborah was born into a family of talented people…musicians and singers alike, with music being the norm at all family gatherings! Deborah began singing pretty much when she learned to talk, and could hold a microphone(or hair brush) , and was requested to perform for family by the age of 5. (the kitchen table being her stage). In Junior and Senior High school she took part in dramatic arts, in musicals such as Guy’s and Dolls, and Fiddler on the Roof, and at 17, Deborah entered her first Singing competition in the Orillia Fall Fair, in which she won 1st place. For the past 28 yrs. Deborah has been heavily involved in the Worship Ministry in her church where she performed in another 3 dramatic musical presentations, as well as singing in live church bands, some of which traveled and performed in festivals and conferences in the Ontario region. She has also done solo work at weddings and funerals. Recently, in October 2013, she entered another singing competition in Gatineau, “Les 4 Nuits” where she was one of 4 first place winners chosen to perform on a CD to raise funds for La Maison Mathieu Fromat-Savoie. Over the last year, she has also performed in live shows with Artists in the Gatineau area. Although Nursing has been career, music has always been her first love and singing…her dream.
