ABOUT

I am Carmen North. I am a singer-songwriter, guitarist, drummer and keyboardist. However, I'm only looking to join a band as a vocalist. My influences are mostly punk and metal but I can do just about any vocal style and I'm willing to do any genre.

I have a lot of band experience, and I've collaborated with many different musicians. I have experience recording in studios, both simple and more advanced studios, and live recording. I also have a lot of experience performing live.
I'm making an album right now and I'm playing the drums bass guitar and vocals on it, if you search Carmen North Music on Facebook you will find it.
My singing style is loud, somewhat operatic with some edginess in there. I also have developed a good scream/yell, which I have used in the metal bands I have collaborated with recently. But I can do a wide variety of vocal styles. I am very open.
My songwriting style is all over the place. Depends on the genre.
I have perfect pitch, which means that if you were to play a note for me, I could tell you what it is by ear. This makes it easy to lift music, and it means that my singing pitch is very accurate.
I take music very seriously but I also know how to chill out and have a good time. I am very highly drama free.
Recording is great but I would really like to join a band that plans to play live shows first and foremost.
I would prefer a band in Oakville but I would be willing to commute to a really good band. I have car access.
