ABOUT

I'm a casual musician who would has played mostly alone the last number of years.
It's time to change and start playing with other people - bass, acoustic guitar, electric, whatever gets to expand my musical horizons and keep learning.
My primary thing is finger-picked acoustic, but I also play rhythm and some lead, bass, and I recently acquired a lap-steel which I'm figuring out how to play.

I love finding new and creative music and discovering new bands through NXNE and other music festivals.

In the relatively old, I'd put Neil Young, Bruce Cockburn, Blue Rodeo, Dire Straits, Genesis, Dylan Otis Rush, Taj Mahal, Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen.
In the newer category, Josh Ritter, Felice Brothers, The Hold Steady, Wilco, Old 97s, Alejandro Escovedo, Lucius, Big Sugar, Frank Black.
