ABOUT
Now: Creating songs from emotional scraps, collected wisdom, a smattering of musical tools. Singing my Canadian heart out in venues all the way from here to there.
Then: Started off just me and my piano, making any little thing into a melody and any melody into a song. Really, I kept my music to myself until high school when I played in a few talent shows. Musical incubation was over. Since then it’s been a high speed chase on the tails of practical theory, performance chops, and inspiration.
I thrive on any musical jolt I can get. Teaching, playing, singing classical, pop, jazz or folk, studying music theory and history, as well as writing and arranging songs all feed off of each other. A true creative spirit cannot be boxed.
