Amelia is a Canadian born singer/songwriter whose multi-layered sound blends punchy melodic hooks with a soulful interpretive style.

Although her recent energies have been directed towards exploring the foot-loose and up-tempo space of the indie-pop sound, Amelia's roots are in acoustic story-telling. While away at university completing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Amelia spent her free time writing music and performing on the West Coast. Shortly after graduating this spring, Amelia headed to Toronto to write and recorded some new soon-to-be released original music at Noble Street Studios with producer Doug Romanow.

Amelia wrote her first instrumental piece on the piano at age 8. The purchase of her first guitar at 15 opened up a whole new world of song writing as she began to add lyrics to her melodies.
