Looking to get out and jam and find others that are into the same stuff. Trying to make connections for now but I would like to eventually be part of a band - I have played in heavier original bands in the past, but now I am just looking to play music that has a quicker tempo, dynamics, a little groove or funk, and something just a little different to keep it interesting. Lyrically I prefer music with a message - social, political, current, recipes, etc - not teen angst, anthems, ballads, or country whining. I'm not really into learning a bunch of cover tunes but will 'play along' as best I can - I would prefer to collaborate on new material.
Prefer to play bass, but rhythm guitar ok too. My guitar amp won't keep up w/ drums w/o a PA but my bass amp will.

Influences
The biggest influences on my playing style have been the people that I have played with and from bands such as Tool, Clutch, Maiden, Slayer, DRI, SNFU, Razor, Primus, Sabbath, Motorhead, Deep Purple, all the way to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, etc.
I am always looking to learn something new.
Bass style - finger or pick, I like a cleaner bass sound and will try anything; guitar - I tend to play the old school hardcore, punk, metal, etc.

Couple of Ibanez 4 string basses and Older Mark Amp, Fender Strat guitar w/small amp, Simon and Patrick acoustic 6 string
